Who We Are

Albert and Jordan started their ranching careers in 2010 and spend a lot of time scratching their heads, wondering what's going on. Good ideas are Jordan's, heavy things are moved by Albert, and the kids run the show.

The base of our operations is at Castle Rock Ranch, which is located on Old River Rd above Kingston, Idaho. We also run a summer camp for girls age 9-14, host weddings and events, and trail rides that are also ranch tours from horseback. Please come for a ride with us and we would love to talk about ecology and how we raise our beef. We love visitors and enjoy talking about our regenerative practices but please let us know ahead of time when you plan to come.

Everything we do is to mimic nature. Grasslands and ungulates (bison, wildebeest, cattle, elk, etc.) coevolved over eons and they need each other to thrive. Just as the great herds migrated, we graze intensively but for short periods of time and then allow a long recovery period. Animal impact, manure and the growth and retraction of roots in response to grazing maximizes species diversity and topsoil construction.
